DJ Matee started his career in 1995. He began by organizing house parties
and local bashes back in the motherland. Upon moving to the US in 1999, he
continued honing his skills until he got his first major gig as the main DJ
at Club Jungle International in Wichita, Kansas. His unparallel skills in
spinning Afro-Caribbean music made Club Jungle International one of the
premier spots in Wichita, Kansas.
DJ Matee then formed a partnership with select business entrepreneurs in
Oklahoma City, to open Safari Club. The club was an undeniable success and
would have continued as such, had the city of Oklahoma City not forced its
to shut down due to rezoning. DJ Matee is currently a guest DJ at Club Metro
in Oklahoma City, Club Mamba in Dallas, Texas and Club Obsession in Tulsa,
Oklahoma. DJ Matee has also been a headliner at a number of highly
publicized and well attended Kenyan events such as the LA Sevens Rugby,
Dallas Memorial Weekend, Kansas City 4th of July Rugby Fest to
name a few.
DJ Matee enjoys a large following in the Midwest. Every City he goes to he
leaves behind an impressed clientele. This has lead to a good working
relationship with party promoters in the Midwest region. Any promoter that
